A game in which players first receive five cards, then decide whether or not to check or open based on the hand they received. When the first round of opening, betting and/or raising is complete, the players may choose to discard parts or all of their hands (the number of discards depends on the rules of the particular game). After replacement cards are received, betting continues until a final call is made.ll players who want to remain in the game must match or raise the opening bet, even if they have already passed.
